LDS Church being sued for tithing paid by suspected fraudster
Lon A. Jenkins, the court-appointed receiver for the accused Robert Casey Hall and all of the companies he established, filed a lawsuit in federal court Wednesday asking that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints return more than $160,000, that was paid by Hall, in tithing. Ref. Source 8
The church would gladly turn over that little amount of money (I would think). Honestly I don't think the guy would even had to go through the courts to do it. I kind of wonder if the Lawyer gets a 10% fee for doing the case. The irony of having a lawyer get paid 10% for collecting tithing.
Even more, now that the Church knows it was made illegally they church wouldn't want it. Found it funny a guy that is breaking the law, still wanted to pay tithing (probably more for the appearance)
But now we realize he wasn't a full tithing payer.
