HKScan's Q2 profit slashed by food industry strikes

Finnish food group HKScan Group on Tuesday posted April to June pretax profits of five million euros, down from nine million euros in the second quarter the year before. The group's second quarter net sales fell to 502 million euros from 542 million euros in the year-ago period. HKScan reported that the food industry strikes in April and May had a considerable negative impact on the company's sales and result in its market area in Finland.
