A little known part of history about the rise of Communism is what the early Communist leaders did with the Ukraine. Apparently, the Communist leaders of the time were very worried about an uprising in the Ukraine so they sought to take away all grains and food supplies from the people and export it to the West. The people in the Ukraine died within one year - reported seven million of them.
