SANTOL, La Union — A Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman and his alleged cohort were nabbed by police and anti-narcotics operatives after yielding at least 100 kilos of dried marijuana at a checkpoint in Barangay Ramut, here, last Thursday.

Police identified the suspects as Marvin Ligawen, 20, a student and SK chairman, who lives in Barangay Remit, here, and his neighbor friend, Willy Madiwo.

Police said the seized marijuana in brick form had a total market value of P2.5 million.
