Northern Arizona University has installed electronic devices that record student attendance in an effort to boost freshmen grades and lift lagging graduation rates. But some students say the monitoring makes them feel less independent.

Uneasy Some Scanners Attendance University
I can agree with the students on this. They are adults now and they should be treated as adults. IF you want to treat your students as children then you should quit being a college and become a private High school. Monitoring where your students are all the time is one more step to monitoring everyone and what they are doing in the world.
