My son has been asking about this item or at least one like it. This tablet is near the 200 CDN mark right now and others are even higher. Other then being a glorified mp3 player why would one what this over a true laptop? Especially since they are now in the same price range?

The only advantage I see is size. It is not very powerful as I can do most of this stuff it can on my cell phone.

I would love to hear from users that have them and what they are using them for and how they manage the internet connectivity on the go.

Thank you Geek for your input. I think I might opt for the laptop. I noticed today that in some schools in the States they are looking to use devices like this in the class room. I guess it saves on buying books and such.
