I saw on the news tonight that some men were convicted of abusing hundreds of young boys that came into their care over the period of some years. How sick is that? I notice pedophiles look for places where children are to set up their 'base'. It makes you wonder about the people who run some of these 'care' establishments for children. I haven't looked for the actual report, if anyone knows of it please post the details.

Absolutely disgusting for a number of reasons, number one because these kids were orphans and all this happened over a period of 30 years!

On top of all that (for those who don't seem to believe that the educated, the popular and the "nice" guys don't do these sort of things) Carlos Cruz, a TV presenter who had been previously voted as the country's most popular man, Jorge Ritto, a former UNESCO ambassador, Dr. Ferreira Diniz, along with many others are linked to this horrible pedophile ring.

Carlos Silvino, a former driver and pupil of the orphanage would procure children to well known people "who range from diplomats and politicians to people linked to the media."

Yes, unfortunately paedophilia can not be just targeted to one 'type' of people, it is rampant amongst a large genre of people. It sickens me that this ring was able to get away with it for so long. Those poor orphans. When I think there is nothing else to sicken me, there's a story like this one.
