Gabrial123 Introduction

Hello To this new community

I am a middle aged man who in my childhood loved to play Dungeon and Dragons with my pals. I became a Dungeon Master before me and my friends parted ways into adulthood and the responsibilities that come with it. I took to writing fables and short stories and even was published once in a small local magazine that catered to writers. I have missed the world of RPGs and would like to reunite myself with my once favorite past time. It has been 20 years since I have played so I am rusty to say the least. I am willing to learn.

Thank you for your Time

Heya, there, welcome to the neighborhood. Plenty of different RPGs to choose from here, from the user-run PbP's in the Member Wars sections, to the official site RPGs. I also prepared a FAQ which I very strongly suggest new players/forum members read, to avoid common problems. D&D Newcomer F.A.Q. Again, good to have you, and I hope things go smoothly for you!

Welcome back to the world of D&D. I would say first off we are playing the 3.5 edition. Take a bit of time and download a 3.5 players handbook for the web. They are free. Then aquaint yourself to the new rules and then come join us. smile.gif

Introduction Gabrial

Welcome to the site and welcome back to the world of DnD.

You sound like a pretty intelligent person. I'm sure you'll pick all this back up with ease. When you are ready just drop in a character to one of the games running. All of them are taking in new players and there isn't really a waiting in the wings period.

You said you even wrote a few stories / games as well. That is great, I hope you reignite that flame and begin to write again. If you have any good stories please share them. There is a topic open to hear peoples epic fails / epic successes. A few others I cannot remember right now are out there as well.

Welcome again, I hope to see you on the field. wink.gif

You do not need to read the whole book but skimming through it and learning about it can help. Like stated above you can join in any time as you know the basics. Having the players handbook is a great reference guide to assist you as you get more involved and learn more about the game. smile.gif
