What are your thoughts about the animal "American Akita"?

Brief description of the "American Akita": The American Akita is a dog breed from Japan. It is not identical with the Akita Inu ("Japanese" Akita). Note that in 2006 the FCI-designation Great Japanese Dog was officially changed to American Akita.
