mormonboy, where I live - a rural Florida community that isn't such an easy list. Yes, all of what you mentioned is important to some degree. I've lived in cities - Salt Lake and the Virginia suburbs of DC and I developed a taste for cultural events which you don't have access to as easily in rural communities but I also got very tired of the traffic and the busy-ness of city life.
I would say a middle class lifestyle is my preference - I have seven years of college (B.S and J.D.) so education is important to me. I do not practice law but I definitely have the analytical mindset that I garnered from the experience.
I am a returned missionary and have always been reasonably active but as I mentioned elsewhere I'm not as enthusiastic as I used to be. I teach Relief Society and I really enjoy it. But I spent most of my post mission life living in large cities with singles programs or singles wards and then I got too old for singles wards. At 47 there just aren't the social outlets I had when I was young and sometimes I feel like a fish out of water. There are a few singles in my ward and for those that are widowed or divorced the groups seem to offer fellowship at dinners etc. Whereas my idea of a fun singles event is to take a day trip to a historical or cultural event and I offered to plan those for our group but no one was interested.
OIC--I can empathize.....Wow, a JD, better be careful what I say on here...LOL! Seriously, I admire your accomplishments....Guess I live in a fairly pampered part of the country--there are several singles wards (for all age brackets) in my regional area....and I do love my cultural events--couldn't live without that!! =)
ummm.quite interesting here but I think I got one problems which is the different between f/m RM. thanks JB for giving me direction to come out here rather than stuck in my little corner.
Well myself I am looking for a RM or just an ordinary guy who can able to help me turn my life around.
it may be sound strict but I need someone who is old enough to shhare love and care and he would also loved to have kids or not I don't mind at all as long he cared for me and want to share my secrets in this life and sorrow and also I need someone who can able to cook coz I am a bad cook though. Not only that be a strong member. He can also be able to meet with my non-member family and help me out.
someone you can just sit outside and talk and feeling that nothing to worry about. Someone who can obtain the obstacle in this world and be strong no matter what.
i guess thta's for a start.
I"m looking for someone who is strong in his Priesthood, it doesn't matter to me what kind of job he has as long as he is happy doing, and it doesn't matter how much money he has as long we have a roof over our heads, food on the table, clothes on our backs, and shoes (optional) LOL. I guess we have to have shoes on our feet. Most importantly I'm looking for someone who will love me for me faults and all.
That would be hard to find, Jeffro! I mean, how would you *know* they would love you unconditionally??
I'm looking for someone who can fit in to my life... In the past, I have always adjusted my life to fit someone else's. Now I have a real life of my own, and it would be very difficult for me to change the status quo. It would have to be someone of great character -- moral and otherwise -- who would understand why my life is as it is, and either adapt or ? Maybe we could compromise a bit. I barely have time for what's going on in my life as it is, I can't imagine trying to make time for dating and getting to know someone!! But I do miss the romance, and having someone to discuss things with -- the important decisions, and even just the day-to-day "stuff" of regular life.
