Cultural Hall

Usually in most Wards and Stake Centers there is a Cultural Hall that is reserved for activities. This is the online one for Singles  - what would you like to do for fun?

This sections is like a social... just post and get to know one another. Anyone brought punch?

I'm all alone in the cultural hall by the look of things. No ones bothered to turn up.
You can't really have a one woman social can you?
Oh well, I might as well close with prayer & go home.

Hall Cultural

I went to my first Single Adult Mini-Conference this weekend (2/28) and it was very interesting. Supposed to be 12 stakes involved, but I don't think there were even 50 people. Very poor turnout for 12 stakes, in my opinion.

But the dinner was great, baked ham, beautiful salad, baby carrots and snap beans, baked potatoes, and rolls with butter. Dessert was strawberry shortcake with whipped cream

There was also a speaker who talked about Charging Your Eternal Batteries, and he was quite good and the topic was relevant. One of the things I remember he said was "IF you make a wrong turn, don't step on the gas." In other words, just because you make a mistake is not an excuse to keep making that same mistake over and over, or make other related mistakes.

The dance was fun, but mostly the women danced with each other There weren't many men who actually stayed for the dance.

All in all, it was an enjoyable evening. I saw old friends, and made some new ones.

Hi all,

I was glad to find this forum (as I am new). Just a place to shoot the breeze and let you get to know me. My studies have really kept me hopping. I am studying to be a visual FX artist and the scheduale can be hectic. I am glad to have the chance to socialize with other members. I look forward to hearing from you!
