Hot Fuzz (Hover)
Top London cop, PC Nicholas Angel is good. Too good. And to stop the rest of his team looking bad, he is reassigned to the quiet town of Sandford. He is paired with Danny Butterman, who countlessly questions him on the action lifestyle. Everything seems quiet for Angel, until two actors are found decapitated. It is address to as an accident, but Angel isn't going to accept that, especially when more and more people turn up dead. Angel and Danny clash with everyone, whilst trying to uncover the truth behind the mystery of the apparent "accidents".
I was surprised; after Shaun of the Dead, I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this exceeded it, as this was better and had more plot. It didn't make a ton of SENSE exactly, but it still had some twists and had some thought in the writing - maybe not a whole lot of logic, but overall it was entertaining, and a strange blend of comedy and action and grittiness - sort of a darker Shanghai Noon though that really isn't a very good or accurate representation.
I liked it, as I see more and more movies I am finding that I rate them as worth my time or not worth my time.
This one was worth it. I laughed enough to consider it a good comedy. I was entertained enough to not get bored of it. There are more than a few action scenes and the ending is great.
That all said it is an odd type of film. Not weird or anything just different. If you like action movies or comedy I say watch it.
