UPM negotiates Myllykoski acquisition

Finnish forestry giant UPM confirmed on Tuesday that is taking part in negotiations to buy struggling Finnish paper maker Myllykoski. Finnish business daily Kauppalehti reported on Tuesday that the company is planning to buy Myllykoski and with it the companion company Rhein Papier GmbH. However, UPM added that many matters are still open and that negotiations are to continue. Whether or not the negotiations are to lead to a sale is still unclear. Source: Helsinki Times
