Just curious....Does anyone know what are the requirements to get a "Temple Divorce" or basically to be unsealed?
According to the grace for grace website Temple marriages have a divorce rate of 6 percent. This rate is higher then I would like, but well under the average for other religious groups. (Mormons as a whole had a 24% divorce rate)
As to why Temple Marriages still end in divorce. It has everything to do with the imperfections of individuals who took the covenants, rather then the nature of those covenants. People have free agency and have personalities. Sometimes personalities do not mix, and sometimes individual break covenants.
One reason for this could be that some couples come together thinking that the church will keep them happy because that is their common ground. However marriage has to be built on more than your attachment to the church as more things need to be in common for when challenges happen you are able to pull through with the same trend of thought and resolve.
