Finland keeps terror threat level unchanged

The Finnish police administration said Monday that the threat from terrorism had not risen in Finland despite intelligence reports of imminent al-Qaida attacks on European soil. The Security Police (Supo) kept its terrorist threat assessment level at low. The US state department told American citizens over the weekend to take all precautions when travelling in Europe, with the UK home office raising its terrorist threat level to severe. Finland doesn't have the Arab population that other European states have, and thus the threat there is exceedingly low. It states with large Arab or Islamic minorities (I.e. France, Belgium, The Netherlands, UK, Italy, Greece, Germany, Spain, etc.) that have high threat levels.
