Law Haven Safe

Many states are looking into a safe haven law. Nebraska's safe haven law allows parents who can not care for their kids to drop them off in a safe place so that they are cared for and given the care they need. Nebraska feels this will help protect kids from abusive homes.

Well, the key issue with this state is that it does not define what a "child" is, so parents are abandoning kids of all ages including teenagers! They're trying to immediately change the wording and possibly put an age barrier that can define what a child is.

This is just another easy way for parents to cop out of their responsibilities taking no consideration for the children and how they feel.

Yeah I agree Clara. So far a 14 year old girl was dropped off last week and this week I believe a 18 year old was dropped off. Think of what these two kids think. ALl of a sudden your not wanted or loved anymore? Yes I believe that a age limit should be assigned.

If you have a teen child and do not want them anymore there are relatives you can send them to I would think.
