The Game Master says...

To Shifter's amazement there is a representative from the local embassy of your country in the court room. Before your case he speaks to the judge. The judge finds that there is a technicality in the way you were detained. This does not mean you are free per se it just means that she needs to reconvene at another time. You are allowed to go with the belongings that were on you at the time of the arrest but not your luggage or kits, however you must return in a week.

Meanwhile...

Krusten gets a table and Assassin tries to scope out the place. You both hear English at some tables and there seems to be other foreigners there as well. The conversations are general and full of laughter. There is nothing more out of the ordinary save for the menu which offers dishes with a complimentary glass of wine at $50 a plate!

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Shifter attempts to negotiate help from the embassy official but he will hear none of it. He explains his only job was to ensure the court treated you fairly. He does whisper to you quietly, "Look, the best I can tell you is to you know... Find other places to be because your case doesn't look good." The official them leaves in a waiting car leaving you otherwise lost outside the court building.

Meanwhile...

Krusten goes to the bar. The bar tenders are otherwise very busy trying to keep orders filled. While waiting she is offered a drink by a well dressed tall gentleman that looks local but otherwise more poised than the typical. In a rather posh Enlish accent he says, "You're not from around here are you?"

Around that time...

Assassin goes to the table Krusten was at, orders a meal and looks to see a man talking to her at the bar.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

The man looks at Krusten's drink and then pauses for thought. "So where are you from?" He continues showing interest in getting to know her.

Meanwhile...

Assassin sits at the table but is approached by no one save for the waiter to bring his drink and see if he needs anything.

In some other place...

Shifter decides to ask officials (?) at the court house about getting his stuff back. After what seemed like an eternity one of the court clerks who can speak moderate English says that your luggage is now part of an investigation as evidence so you cannot get it back. They do not seem to be helpful beyond that but you do at least have your wallet and the clothes on your back.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

Krusten uses her powers to assess the intentions of the man. He seems to be attracted to Krusten and for now seems interested in conversation that could lead to more personal rendezvous later.

At that same time...

Assassin scans the man and can see that his heat signature is above average temperature. He also suspicions that he may be carrying a concealed gun under his jacket.

Somewhere else in Egypt...

Shifter seems to be in a stupor of thought about what to do next.

GM: I'm unsure of Shifter's actions. By moving away from everyone did you mean to say you wanted to go to an isolated area to change into an animal (Which)? The only 'police' you met was at the airport, is that your destination? Everyone, say what you will do now.

The Game Master says...

Krusten finds out that the man is the son of a wealthy businessman in Egypt. He studied abroad but loves the life in Egypt. He has a big mansion, fast car and all that you would expect the filthy rich to have. Speaking pridefully he shows you his concealed gun and says that there are many criminals and he keeps it for protection hoping that it somehow impresses you. At the same time, Assassin tries to flag Krusten down about the gun but she acknowledges already seeing it with a simple nod.

Meanwhile somewhere in Egypt...

Shifter looks for a police station. There is one near the court building. Inside he finds it a difficult task to converse with someone in fluent English. After the space of 30 minutes a more senior offical comes out and attends to your problem. He shows understanding but says because of the nature of the case he cannot help you as it is likely your items are already being kept in a secure location as evidence for your trial.

GM: Say what you wish to do now.

The Game Master says...

As Assassin suspiciously looks on, Krusten weeds through a lot of the simple talk to find out more about the guy. She learns that he has many connections to get anything you want in Egypt. You get the feeling that he is generally a good guy but isn't afraid to dabble with the criminal element to gain something he cannot get normally.

After a bit...

Shifter contacts Assassin and learns of his location and the required standards to get in. A suggestion to call the number of the taxi driver that already assisted them is hinted.

The Game Master says...

As Assassin looks on, Krusten presses the man to know how he does business. He looks at her with vice full eyes and says,

"Well, you know, a woman like you can get almost anything she wants."

Then he continues,

"Of course money talks and with a lot of it you can also get almost anything you want."

Elsewhere in Egypt...

Shifter, in the form of an eagle, flies to a remote area near the hotel where Krusten and Assassin are staying. Luckily, it is nighttime and you are not detected. You make your way to the hotel and stand in the lobby.

The Game Master says...

The man says,

"I am Seth and this is my number..."

You note it and then say you are going to join someone at a table and it leaves him dumbfounded. He deviously circles by the table and says,

"It was nice talking..."

He nods at Assassin and then disappears into the crowd.

Your meals arrive and they are well worth the money you spent as course after course is served to your table all be it in small portions. Assassin then decides to retire back to the hotel (Krusten follows?) and you meet back with Shifter in the lobby.
