Garrant says,
"What seems to be the problem, maybe we can help?"
To which the officers reply that they were informed about a disturbance on this floor and just need to conduct a check for the well being of everyone. They once again insist on seeing your IDs.
Krusten blurts out,
"What's the problem? It's against hotel policy for people to be looking for a room number now?"
The officers visibly show their resentment at the sarcasm behind the question but compose a respectful answer,
"No mam just doing our jobs... Now may we see your IDs please?"
Thorn then starts questioning their authority to which one of the security guards steps back and radios for the night manager to come up to the floor. As all of this is going on it becomes more and more apparent that time is just passing you by and your original mission is turning into a flop.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Forge calls Shifter to relay your actions thus far. Shifter tells you about what he has found out thus far and confirms that he should arrive in about ten minutes.
Meanwhile...
The security guards check your IDs and thank you for your time but ask if you can wait a minute because they have already called the night manager.
A few minutes pass...
You are visibly disenchanted with this whole affair and as you are about to complain the elevator door opens with Assassin inside, he holds the doors and says that Walcott's room is on the 11th floor. You look at each other angry that you are looking on the wrong floor.
At the same time another elevator door opens and out comes a man dressed in a suit, looks over at the guards and says in a diplomatic tone,
"What seems to be the problem?"
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
The manager politely says there is a small helicopter landing pad on the roof but there are no scheduled landings and it is also closed to the public. You think up of excuses and chide remarks to leave the conversation with the hotel staff as you hop into the elevator with Assassin. The manager and security guards are two slow to react to your escape as the elevator door closes.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You arrive on the eleventh floor and go to the room door belonging as far as you know to Prof. Walcott. You knock the door repeatedly but there is no answer.
Assassin ventures back downstairs to let Forge know about what is going on. In the elevator he thinks about how much time has been wasted without communications in place. As Assassin is talking with Forge you can see Shifter outside coming in. You immediately relay information about the helicopter landing pad on the hotel's roof.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Shifter goes outside and when he feels no one is looking morphs into an eagle. He takes flight to the top of the hotel's roof and finds no activity around. As an eagle he continues to make his way to where he believes Prof. Walcott's room is located but from the outside he cannot tell which room it is nor does Shifter know what Walcott looks like to identify him. Shifter does land on the eleventh floor however and meets up with the rest of the group to relay what he has seen.

GM: Using first number to save door not showing any damage - fail.
After looking around and seeing no one around Garrant focuses on the mechanism of the door handle and lock and essentially moves them in such a way that the lock has become loose and falls, the door is now slightly cracked due to the distortion necessary from the force involved.
The door is now slightly ajar. From where you are you can see what looks inside like a well made luxurious room. The only thing readily noticeable to your questioning eye is a towel on the floor by the bed. No movement can be seen.
Someone in the next door down the hall is opening up their door possibly to step into the hall where you are now.
GM: Say what you will do now.
Those of you using danger sense feel nothing threatening.
The people from the nearby room pass you by with curious eyes and then quicken their pace to the elevator looking back at you with anxious faces as they wait for the lift's doors to open.
You enter the room and begin looking around. No one is here but you can tell someone was. The only thing you note is a piece of paper with a scribble next to the bedside table lamp. It looks like a flight number and a flight time of one hour from now.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Shifter transforms into an eagle and heads towards the airport.
Forge takes Shifter's sports car keys, you exit the room, make your way to the elevator and push the down button. As the doors close you can see the night shift manager approaching again with the security guards and they shout out...
"Hey! Wait one minute!"
Just then your elevator is on its way down to the ground floor. You think it best not to spend time looking for phones now as you head towards the car (It looks like the one attached).
Forge has never sat in such a vehicle before and his eyes almost seem to burn while holding the steering wheel.
At the airport
Shifter arrives at the front entrance, the rest of you follow on a few minutes after. You make your way to the check-in for the flight indicated on the ticket. You do not see anyone looking like Walcott nearby. The check-in attendant asks politely,
"How may I help you, are you traveling with us today?"
She looks near your feet for luggage.
