They take Shifter into one of the rooms where a person in white robs begins to attend to his wounds in a gracious manner. Assassin observes that they appear to know what they are doing. The translator says, "He is a medical student".
Then turning to Krusten she says, "Our leader is in the basement, she will be most excited to see you. Will you follow me there?" She shows you a hidden compartment behind some things that then leads to a trap door inside a closet. It appears to be very dark.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Krusten inquires about the basement.
The translator says,
"This is the place of our leader, you will be pleased with her because she serves you oh great one."
You ask about the layout and she continues,
"It is just a basement where she resides because her eyes cannot stand the bright light. Her powers become limited with too much light."
After...
Assassin feels the need to check the basement first. As he goes down his powerful eyes adjusts and he can see the layout is the same as the current level you are on. Assassin can make out that there are many items here that only a privileged person would own. To one end of the basements is a figure sitting on what looks like a throne.
Meanwhile...
One of the students in broken English says to Shifter while holding a needle with liquid,
"You will feel a pinch, this is for the pain..."
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Shifter accepts the injection and after a couple of minutes does not feel his wounds anymore. After about five minutes they take out all the bolts and begin stitching you up or at least that's what you can tell because you're almost asleep.
Meanwhile...
Assassin's powers are ideal for this place. He can tell that whomever is on the throne is the only one there and her heat signature is very low like if someone is dying or maybe even just died. Assassin goes even closer when he hears a voice from behind him speak quickly in a language you cannot understand. It is the translator, and she has passed ahead of you and gone on her knees looking downward. You can tell she is trying to explain your presence.
Right after...
Krusten comes down the steps and she can hardly see anything but one thing she feels instantly is dread. It is not a positive place but she cannot place the feeling to a particular person, its as though the whole room is like that!
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Despite Shifter's best efforts he manages only a minute or two extra and then falls to sleep.
Meanwhile...
Assassin looks around for weapons and on the walls he can see tools that could be used as weapons but they were not actually made to be weapons but suddenly he hears Krusten's voice of warning and freezes for a second...
Krusten comes into the room and can see it is visibly dark. Ahead is a couple of candles that merely outline those ahead. She speeds towards Assassin and reads the presence of the room. Great evil and despair envelops her sense of feeling.
The person on the throne reveals herself, she is tall, slender and rather sharp in her appearance although dressed in all black. Although you cannot understand what she says next you can tell it is a rebuke for the translator as she comes into the light. The translator scurries to one side of the room in great fear.
GM: I will only need Krusten and Assassin's actions for now. On the next action please roll against intelligence with a +20% modifier.
GM: Playbypost did not roll against Intelligence as requested. So I rolled got a 74 with +20% puts you just above your intelligence.
Assassin grabs the tool but then freezes out of what seems to be great fear. Krusten grabs him and goes back up to the ground floor in half the speed Krusten would normally do it due to having Assassin's weight cause some lag.
As you reach the ground floor you can once again see the follower again acknowledging your presence by bowing but this is soon interrupted by the most horrifying of screams and cries coming from the basement. Assassin is stiff and Shifter is snoring.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Assassin comes out of his fear and regains composure. Upon seeing this Krusten goes back down to possibly help the girl that might be in distress but upon reaching the basement it is utterly dark. You can tell up ahead there is whimpering and sobbing but there is no candle to aid you. You feel dark powers playing with your powers, attempting to cause utter fear and dismay in your head.
GM: On next action Krusten should roll against Intelligence. Say what you wish to do now.
Krusten beckons the translator but she does not come in fact the sobs turn into what sounds like someone gasping for air. Using your super speed you get some cloth, light it and then head back down to the basement lighting up the immediate area. You can see what looks like a figure in all black with hands around the translator's neck choking her but upon seeing the light the figure hisses and fades deeper into the darkness thus dropping the translator to the ground as she chokes.
Meanwhile...
Shifter's wounds are now stitched but the commotion Krusten is involved in causes worry among the followers as they talk among themselves as to what is happening. Assassin stays close and for the first time examines the tool he picked up, it actually looks like the Sistrum you saw at the museum!
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Krusten, using her speed, finds more items and makes the fire bigger. She can tell the dark creature hisses but does not appear. The brighter the light the more composure the translator gains and she slowly tries to leave.
Meanwhile...
Assassin tries to communicate with those who are in the immediate vicinity. One of the med students claims to know a little bit of English so you ask when Shifter will be better and he says the drugs effect may last for a few hours but even after he will want to sleep more because it is a relaxant.
By now smoke from the basement rises and the followers become full of anxiety.
