Weirding Stones

It is said by ancient lore and legend that the easiest way to make decisions was to use Weirding Stones. White stones were placed in a bag with a black stone and a choice of the odd color meant a decision had to be made. This is also known as casting lots. Do you believe in dire situations where a decision cannot be made that you may need to cast lots?

There may be extreme circumnstances were casting lots is necessary. You see, it is a way to make sure everyone gets a fair opportunity and is just a matter of luck.

Giving up responsibility for making a decision to chance is just a cop out, it's cowardly. Just like a lot of people give up their lives to "God's Will".

I don't see all these things that people see when I look at stones or sticks. Some medicine men use bones of their ancestors too. I honestly believe its just all superstition.

I don't use anything like that to make important decisions but if I have two movies to pick from or two places to choose to eat from and my wife doesn't care either than I will use a die that I carry to make the decision but that's the extent of my using chance to determine thing's.

You carry around a die with you? I guess for some instead of weirding stones its weirding dice. I believe there is something in certain signs and symbols but not necessarily anything we throw on the ground or shake around in our hands.
