In the footnotes of the LDS version, it says "because of scarcity of men due to wars." |

This may be true, but remember, the footnotes are the opinions of the authors, not scripture. Â I tend to agree with it, but don't put any authority into it. |
QUOTE |
And feel as if I need to plan for it *in my lifetime.* |
I like what Roz said.
Personally, I am convinced that the Church will never incorporate it into the general doctrine again. The saints rejected it, after the most strongly worded warnings by the Bretheren, including Wilford Woodruff. I do believe that the Lord will call, and may even now call, certain people who are truly prepared to live it, despite any possible persecution.

Interesting. So you believe we will be 'asked' to live this law again (within this mortal life), or will men take it upon themselves? If the latter, will it be sanctioned by God? |
This has brought up a question in my mind, and yes, it is only a thought... but, could it be that there are those designated for that (enter into plural marriage if certain circumstances arised) already? Strange question huh? Not really since Plural Marriage was actually being practised by a few before it was brought to the general public's awareness or even sustained by the members.

I agree with Nighthawlk that I don't think the Church will ever be able to live this Law again, I think they know of the pressure because of the past and I don't really see them with the least intention to bring it back, at least, not for now.
And if they do, I don't think it will be practise openly.
