I believe we must have a Heavenly Mother and I also agree there is more than one Heavenly Mother, although we all only have one of our own.

Not to bring up the polygamy question here, but if, as several of them said, Celestial Plural Marriage is a foundational principle of the Celestial Kingdom, then this shouldn't come as a great surprise.

Thus, it is entirely possible that there are many "Mothers in Heaven" and that each of us might have different ones.

1. To first understand this we have to understand the laws concerning sealings and marriage to more than one wife. We could have only been introduced to this law if it were already exsistent in heaven. So we can asertain that Heavenly Father has more than one wife. Western Culture shocks itself at this thought, but plurality in marriage has been exsistant from the early stages of life...

I feel very strongly that I have my very own Heavenly Mother.  I have no doubt that Heavenly Father practices plural marriage, as it was introduced to us.

Okay, so here's my sort of irreverent question:  What would we call all those "Other Mothers"?  Aunt?  Sister?  Mom1, Mom2, etc?  (no offense intended to my Heavenly Mother(s), of course!)

When we get there we will know the true order and names for everything.

So how is it the Father obtained His wives? Jesus said there is  no marrying in Heaven. Isn't it an earthly ordinance? We are so big on families but we practically teach Jesus had no wife at all. If He did, who was she? or they? Didn't He say come follow me? Are we all to be celebates with no children at all. Where is the example in that. Section 131 D.C. the only way to reach the highest degree and all that. Did Jesus miss out. Was He married or not?

I don't think we teach that Jesus was not married.  I am not sure we teach anything specifically, but someone else may be able to answer that more definitively.  However, I do believe there is substantial evidence to suggest that Jesus was, in fact, married.  I read a booklet/book once that provided evidence of this.  I will try to find the book in order to offer a reference.

As far as no marrying in heaven and it being an earthly ordinance, I don't believe that is 100% accurate.  First of all, we are referring to our Heavenly Father.  He didn't come to this earth to receive a physical body.  He had the Savior create this earth under his direction to allow us to attain physical bodies.  So, no matter what rules you establish here for our progression, they don't exactly apply to him.  He has already progressed past that point.

You might just be surprised in both instances. I have to put more than 15 words here or it won't be posted.

This thread is not about Jesus being married or not Wynn. Please look at the thread dealing with that Jesus Married

Please note, all that we are required to do here is / has been done already in the Heavens.

Yu Can't have a Heavenly mother unless she is married to a Heavenly Father. Think about it. If the gestation period for heavenly mothers was only 5 minutes and there are 2/3rds of the spirits assigned to this earth that come (1/30 got bumped) and that equals say 200 billion over the earths history. Do you think even just ONE hevenly mother would take on the entire task herself. If that is not the case then the next qustion comes....where did Heavenly Father meet and mary her or them as the case may be?  Marriage we are told is an earthly ordinance. No marrying in the heavens...right?  So if Man may become what God once was (man) right? Then where did He get His eternal partner(s) pre-existance?...I don't think so.......While on an earth? ....more likely........In the spirit world?....Do spirits marry?........after the judgement?....no marrying in heaven...right? So where did He ge them..... ah...her? Jesus said "I do only that which I have SEEN the Father do". What did the Father do? Well if Jesus was truely saying then He did what Jesus did. Does the Father have a family? Do we teach families are important? Then was Jesus married. If not why not? And how, when, where. And why is it all such a big bloody cover up and a secret?????

And why is this thread not about Jesus being married? Obviously He will need a heavenly wife to become a heavenly mother of somebody. It starts right here or the scriptures need to be corrected. Joseph was the authority on it in our day. Sec 131 and 132 are pretty succinct on these issues.
