No I assume servax would look quite healthy with those stats, ugly but none the less healthy, its not like over the next two levels his total appearance is going to change and make me think "now you could survive 5 zombie bites instead of 1".
But my point is we cant ignore our stats and hp, I took 9 damage in one hit that would have killed anyone else so we have to play this smart and there is not always an in game logic behind actions that will mathmatically along with our skills and stat give us a higher percent chance of survivng.
Sure its obvious the two mages don't look healthy, but no matter your hp with 3 str you will never look healthy,
At the time of writting that reply I was just a bit aggitated about the comment before it probably shouldn't be put into the game thread tho.
Also I think its a good discussion to bring up and check with the dm on about your spell, not attacking you in any way,
Also there is a spell called blade barrier that creates
an immobile, vertical curtain of whirling blades shaped of pure force springs into existence. Any creature passing through the wall takes 1d6 points of damage per caster level
now personally I wouldn't let someone with spell resistance just stroll through it but if they had damage reduction they would ignore some of it.
I can't find where it says to treat it like so in the rules but to me the magic bit is over and a physical object is left in effect. And it just makes sense.
But this one is left up to the DM either way it will be good to know for future reference.
Anyhow, moving on .......
Rentok, will Myrrani be hiding, or just moving away from combat? I'll just need either for you to make a skill check, or to indicate where/how far your character will be moving. Once I have that I'll be ready to post in the game thread.
As far as the seemless teamwork goes, I think the problem is just about dead by now. Yes, probably wasn't the most realistic roleplaying ever, but it's over now. We have one Zombie left, then we can familiarise ourselves with one another and discuss tactics on the way to the forrest/abbey. I do think we will all need to develop some combat tactics to get through this one, not just Aive and Servax. We're not going to last long if we don't play this one carefully.
I've just made the game post. Rentok, I wasn't able to include check-penalties on your hide/move silently rolls, in that your character is carrying well over your maximum load. Might want to have someone else carry that 2000gp sack?
OOC: Well, generally, money is ignored when calculating weight, otherwise almost any character is over their carrying capacity almost all the time, except right after a spending spree. Not to mention my gold could be carried around in platinum pieces, or whatnot.
I'm just going by your character sheet and the 3.5ed rules. Is there anywhere we have a list of these house rules? I'm still fairly new to these forums. In platinum pieces you would be on a medium load, which would impose a -3 check penalty, as well as a 10ft reduction in base speed. My understanding was that generally characters with enough coin to burden them would have spent a portion of it on some sort of extradimensional storage device, like a bag of holding, or portable hole? Just a thought.
OOC: I don't have enough coins for even the cheapest bag of holding. I do, however, have a medium viper as my familiar. Maybe I have it carrying some of my stuff on some sort of bag or whatever. Point is, I have a -4 strength modifier, and can barely carry anything. And it gets rediculously difficult to calculate weight when you include coins. It's more of a hassle than it's worth, really.
100 coins = 2lbs
I do like the idea of your familiar dragging around a big sack of gold though. Let's go with that. Any chance you could modify your die-rolls and post the breakdown, similar to Testsubject1? It'll just save me having to check your characters modifiers.
