I have noticed on and off that certain callings have really cool spiritual gifts which I have felt leave me to some degree after being released from those callings. ( You can feel all things with the Holy Spirit in the spirit and the priesthood I can feel it too like a Urm and Thumin)

Comments: When one speaks of priesthood "keys" it refers to the right of presidency. For example, The Elders Quorum president holds the keys, or right to preside, over the Elders in the ward boundaries. In D&C 110 where it speaks of heavenly messengers giving specific keys of the priesthood to Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery, it was authorizing them to preside over or direct a specific work performed by authority of the priesthood. Ulitmately, the President of the Church is the only person who holds all the keys of the priesthood at one time - meaning that he is the only one who can preside over the work of the Church. He can in some instances delegate these keys - for example, to stake presidents, bishops, down to deacons quorum presidents.

Comments: Interesting this thread about "keys". The Roman Catholic Church also claims to "hold the keys" via the pontiff (Pope).
The "keys", are given to the church, all believers - when kept in biblical context. Read and study Matthew 16:19; 18:15-17 and John 20:23.
The "keys" concept that is tied to authority in the truest sense is best defined in Revelation 1:18. Here we see that Jesus decides who lives, who dies and when.
