District attorney will not file charges in Seau case

The District Attorney's Office has declined to file charges against former Chargers star linebacker Junior Seau, who was being investigated for allegations of domestic violence, a spokesman said late Friday afternoon. Ref. Source 2

Former NFL linebacker Junior Seau has died, according to the San Diego Chargers website. He was 43.

"Everyone at the Chargers is in complete shock and disbelief right now," the team's statement said. "We ask everyone to stop what they're doing and send their prayers to Junior and his family."

Seau played 20 seasons in the NFL from 1990-2009, the first 13 with the Chargers. He was selected to 12 consecutive Pro Bowls. Ref. CNN
