Tielgirl Introduction

Hello. I was searching around trying to find more information about a child abuse case as I frequently write articles about victims to give them a "voice". I have always been drawn to fight for the underdog and I guess that explains why I write about the depressing subjects that I do: violence, child abuse, murder, etc.

I am interested in psychology, psychopathology, true crime, history, world events, literature, science (in particular, quantum physics), and any area that improves the use of the power of the brain -- a most misunderstood organ.

Due to inadequate medical care and the decline of the Canadian health care system, I have lost many abilities due to strokes, but I have also re-learned many of the "lost" functions. I believe that we only use a small portion of the brain's capacity and I look forward to the day when we will know more about how to re-wire lost neural pathways.

The discussions on my "favorite" topics (true crime) are passionate and very well stated. I look forward to contributing as well as reading future discussions.
