Mosiah 10:19, "For he that diligently seeketh shall find; and the mysteries of God shall be unfolded unto them, by the power of the Holy Ghost, as well in these times as in times of old, and as well in times of old as in times to come; wherefore, the course of the Lord is one eternal round." |
My experience with "unfolding the mysteries of God" has come on several occasions from prayer and from reading the scriptures, themselves. In many places in the scriptures, you see "he who has ears to hear, eyes to see, let him understand." Sometimes what seems to be an obvious meaning may mean something else. But "ears to hear and eyes to see" tells me there is something there that is important or may be a hidden or deeper meaning than the obvious, and I should pay attention. Revelation is the key. If we're not open to the Spirit, we may not understand the meaning. "Search the scriptures" and not just read them like a novel, as a member here pointed out a while ago.
The term "one eternal round" has a deeper significance, and I'm not 100% on my understanding of it. I've found a wealth of information on the church website, articles and some curriculum, and the Journal of Discourses is a wonderful resource too (even if hard to read).

I recently had a great blessing that allowed me time to study the scriptures like never before. As I read not only The Standard works, but also teachings of modern prophets. Has I read several times my minds eye would be opened up and I would receive knowledge about the topic and new insight to help me understand the Gospel in new light.
