"When you say, 'I can't!  I can't solve my problems!' I want to thunder out, 'Don't you realize who you are?  Haven't you learned yet that you are a son or a daughter of Almighty God?  do you not know that there are powerful resources inherited from Him that you can call upon to give you steadiness and courage and great power?'"

President Boyd K. Packer, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, "Self-Reliance," Ensign, Aug. 1975, 88.

"Believing requires action. If you prepare to walk down the path of life,
you can be rewarded beyond your dreams and expectations. But to achieve
this, you must work hard, save, be wise, and be alert. You must learn to
deny yourselves of worldly gratification. You must be faithful in paying
tithes; you must keep the Word of Wisdom; you must be free from other
addictions. You must be chaste and morally clean in every respect. You
should accept and be faithful in all of the calls that come to you.
Steadiness and toil will serve you better than brilliance."

(James E. Faust, "Don't Be Afraid," New Era, July 1998, 4)

"Now, my brothers and sisters, in this, the last great conflict between
light and darkness, I am grateful for the opportunity to 'endure hardness,
as a [disciple] of Jesus Christ' (2 Tim. 2:3). With Paul, I declare,
'The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the
works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light' (Rom. 13:12).
I bear my special witness that Jesus Christ 'is the light and the life of
the world; yea, [the] light that is endless, that can never be darkened'
(Mosiah 16:9).

"He is the Light of Bethlehem, born of Mary, His mortal mother, and His
Father, Almighty God.

"He is the Light who was baptized by immersion, by John the Baptist, upon
whom the Holy Ghost was manifest in the Spirit like a dove descending.

"He is the Light in whom His Father was well pleased.

"He is the Light at the head of the ancient Church, organized with Twelve
Apostles, prophets, and seventies.

"He is the Light of the Atonement fulfilled in the Garden of Gethsemane and
on Golgotha, who took upon Himself the sins of the world, that all mankind
may obtain eternal salvation.

"He is the Light of the empty tomb, the resurrected Lord with a glorified
body of flesh and bone, who broke the bands of death and gained an
everlasting victory over the grave.

"He is the Light that ascended into heaven before the eyes of His
disciples, with a promise that in like manner He would come again.

"He is the Light that appeared with His Father and restored, through the
Prophet Joseph Smith, the same Church He established during His ministry on
earth.

"He is the Light that leads and guides this Church today through revelation
to a prophet, his counselors, and the Twelve Apostles.

"He is my Light, my Redeemer, my Savior--and yours."

(Robert D. Hales, "Out of Darkness into His Marvelous Light," Ensign, May 2002, 71-72)

The Beginning and End of it all...

(2 Corinthians 12:9-10.)

9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

(Ether 12:27.)

27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.

(Moroni 10:32.)

32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.

(Doctrine and Covenants 17:8-9.)

8 And if you do these last commandments of mine, which I have given you, the gates of hell shall not prevail against you; for my grace is sufficient for you, and you shall be lifted up at the last day.

9 And I, Jesus Christ, your Lord and your God, have spoken it unto you, that I might bring about my righteous purposes unto the children of men. Amen.

(Doctrine and Covenants 18:32-33.)

Behold, my grace is sufficient for you; you must walk uprightly before me and sin not.

32 And, behold, you are they who are ordained of me to ordain priests and teachers; to declare my gospel, according to the power of the Holy Ghost which is in you, and according to the callings and gifts of God unto men;

33 And I, Jesus Christ, your Lord and your God, have spoken it.

So, by what reasoning do I think or say I can't do it?????
I guess that would just be my own stinking thinking.

The Beginning End of all... - Page 2

"My brothers and sisters, however dark conditions may seem in this world
today, whatever the storms we are facing personally, in our homes and our
families, . . . joy can be ours now. Sometimes we don't understand death,
illness, mental and physical disabilities, personal tragedies, war, and
other conflict. Some of these are a necessary part of our mortal probation.
Others, as Enoch foresaw, are part of the preparation for the Savior's
Second Coming, when 'the heavens shall be darkened, and a veil of darkness
shall cover the earth; and the heavens shall shake, and also the earth; and
great tribulations shall be among the children of men, but,' said the Lord,
'my people will I preserve.' And when Enoch saw all these things, he
'received a fulness of joy' (Moses 7: 61, 67)."

(Robert D. Hales, "Faith through Tribulation Brings Peace and Joy," Ensign, May 2003, 18)
