George asks the ship's computer to open the captains quarters to which you get the usual chirp followed by,
"Access denied, you are not the captain."
Roger uses his training in Vacc suits to see if it has any use. As far as he can tell it is usable but he is apprehensive about its durability or in other words it cannot be used for too long.
Omega Looks in the fridge and there are some bags of frozen meats, a couple of mini boxes of Chinese take out food and chocolate bars. Omega then looks at the walls. There is all kind of scribbles but the most notable ones are:
Cargotech Space Trans sucks
Comp malfunction (date)**
Caps Q Emergency 5820
You try to check the bridge but get the usual access denied reason from the ship's computer with the explanation that you don't have permission.
There aren't things to be moved around to make a barricade really since it is a flying vessel most everything is attached to the hull of the ship.
** Date reads a couple of weeks ago
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Roger takes a look at the scribbles.
GM: Some things you guys need to figure out, it is not down to a roll of intelligence of a character, what fun is that?
Roger then announces to the computer that he is a pilot and needs access to the bridge. The computer denies him access.
George drills the computer with questions as follows:
Is the captain on board and if he he is not how can we gain access to the captain's quarters?
Negative, only Captain can enter with correct credentials.
Who is the Cargotech Space transport?
Current service carrier.
Is this space cargo vessel owned and operated by Cargotech Space transports?
Affirmative.
How many cargo shipments has this company lost due to pirates in the past few months?
None.
What is the computers projected likely hood that this cargo shipment will be met with pirates trying to get the cargo?
I'm not programmed to answer that question.

DarkWing decides that he will say "Caps Q Emergency 5820" in front of the Captain's Quarters door while being watched by the rest of his squad.
Nothing is heard and after the delay of a couple of seconds the door is opened!
The room reveals a well set bunk bed, desk and storage cabinet. There seems to be from where you're standing a mini fridge and entertainment center. There is also a window to see outside on the far side of the room. Whomever maintained this room had it nice as compared with the other rooms and in fact kept it very clean and organized. You cannot see much else unless you enter.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
Omega bravely steps in the room and looks around anxiously. Everything appears just as it was from the door. You can see through the window that you have left earth and are now passing the moon, it is a sight you have never seen before and you can hardly believe that you are seeing it now.
Meanwhile...
Roger asks the computer about both the former and current captain and after a chirp you hear,
"Cargotech Space Trans".
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
All of you enter the Captain's Quarters and the door to the room closes behind you. As seen from the outside it is very clean and well kept. You look at the entertainment system and it contains thousands of movies, music and a personal computer (similar to a laptop of our day but more powerful) however it is password protected and denies you access to everything save for the entertainment portfolio.
The lone window allows you to see what is going on outside of the vessel. You see the stars even clearer than before and you have never see the moon up so close - it is awe inspiring. To the right outside of the window you can see the escape pod attached to the ship's hull so at least you know it is actually there despite your being denied access to it earlier.
The fridge is well stocked with some foods and mostly fine wine and drinks.
The built in cupboards contain clean clothing. Nothing else about the room stands out.
George gos back to look at the scratches in the crew bunk area. You find mostly numbers to names of women for a good time, jokes, drawings that don't seem to make sense and the original scribbles that stood out before.
GM: Everyone should roll the standard D20 against soul for temptation. Say what you wish to do now.
All of you decide such an opportunity to share in the spoils of the Captain's Quarters is too good to miss in such a dull vessel as you drink and eat liberally while watching movies with almost no thought about your current work or what you were last doing. A couple of hours pass by and with you fairly intoxicated a passing glance of the ship's window reveals that the moon can no longer be seen just the darkness of space.
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
You ask the computer your location and ETA for Mars to which it responds:
"Sector 572-362-344"
You understand that to be a coordinate for a location in space. Those of you who have pilot or geography will know what it means.
"55 hours to enter Mars' orbit".
GM: Say what you wish to do now.
In the rest area you find nothing out of the ordinary.
You venture on to the cargo hold and find that you do have access as the doors immediately open for you. The room is large and well lit. You see very large heavy plastic and metal boxes with the usual various markings of "Fragile", "This Way Up" and so forth. To on end is a very large double door that leads to the outside possibly this is the loading area. To the back of the room you see another door which you assume leads to the engine room. Next to this door is a mechanical device used to lift heavy cargo.
