I think they have prior knowledge that the ship would possibly be attacked by pirates and they wanted to find a crew that is expendable if they lose but one that could be regularly paid escorts on their cargo ships if they prove to be trustworthy. Just a thought. A simple short trip to mars and they could see how trustworthy we are.

All we can do in my opinion now is try and get into any areas we haven't been yet and to try and set up the ship so we can defend against an attack (if it comes).

We are hired to deliver cargo so lets do that. It maybe nothing in the crates but hey I don't mind getting paid for delivering nothing.

Lets try and see what we can of the ship and prepare for the worst. But you know that at times goods can be damaged moving them (wink) so maybe one that gets dented a little so we can see whats inside would not hurt.

Out of Character:: Maybe if there was a way to get into the captain's quarters then there is a way to get into the engine room and the pilot's area? Maybe we can search for something or disable something using some skills.

Ok we have about two days to come up with something else to try. I am out of ideas. I think just relaxing back here in a defensive set up is the way to go. Set up shifts so we have someone up at all times in case of something happening.

The only thing I can think to do is maybe search the captains quarters again and have we tried to access the engine room yet ?
