Sounds like a good time to go over the inside of the ship minus the cargo. I think we will not get the balance of our pay if we tamper with the cargo. We may also be stuck on Mars if they are not happy with us. Sounds like we are on our way.

Yes checking the pod is a good idea, plus do we have people with computer knowledge as they should try and check the ship computer.

How many ways in are there to the vessel. We should look at setting up a way of defending those areas before we maybe attacked.

We need to set up different choke points in case we are boarded. Making it hard for anyone to get in and get the cargo. I think we should set up a defensive barrier in front of the cargo door. One we can use as cover and fight off any pirates that want to board us. If we successfully repel pirates then we could have our own little space ship.
