President Barack Obama said today that Sony Pictures made a mistake in canceling the release of the movie "The Interview" After a cyberattack from North Korean-backed hackers.

"I am sympathetic to the concerns that they face. Having said all that, yes, I think they made a mistake," Obama said at a White House news conference.

"We cannot have a society in which some dictator some place can start imposing censorship here in the United States," Obama said. "That's not who we are. That's not what America is about." Ref. CNN

Two months after a devastating cyber-attack, Sony Pictures Entertainment said co-chairman Amy Pascal is stepping down from her post.

After Sony was hacked, embarrassing emails from the company's servers were leaked onto the Internet, causing public humiliation and private recriminations for Pascal and others.
