I think most members I meet sympathize with the Republicans but there are a few who got turned off by President Bush and are kind of center now.

Most of the members I know are conservative. Unfortunately, most also connect conservatism to the Republican party. However, the Republicans are no longer conservative.

Actually, most LDS can be considered classically liberal, rather than conservative. Since the modern liberals are actually socialist by definition, and Republicans are progressive (almost socialist) the classic liberals and conservatives find their only national representation in the less socialist Republicans.

Most of the very politically aware Mormons that I know are very disgusted with the Republican party, although not as much as the Democrats. They see both parties giving homage to the international socialist movement and working in different ways to turn the US over to international socialism.

In my opinion, both parties, along with the Greens, Libertarians, and all other left-leaning political parties and groups are aligned with the international "secret combinations" that the Book of Mormon teaches us about.

I agree with much of what you have said nighthawk. I am a member of the Republican party, only because I think that political change can only work through the two party system, and that party more closely reflects my views (though I find myself on a much more conservative vein then the modern day Republicans and quite frustrated with their leftward leanings).

I would love to be part of a party that reflects my Conservative, Libertarian, Religious point of view, but unfortunately there is not a Party with any significant power to make any real changes (Except for the Democrats or Republicans).

Comments: This whole terrorism thing is nothing more than a smoke and mirrors campaign inspired by the communists. Most specifically the Russians and big industrialists who subscribe to their totalitarian ideals.

America is too preoccupied with the Arab threat to realize it's not the fire we should concern ourselves with but rather the people who started it. An it's not Bin Laden or Saddam or any of those guys.

They are manipulated dupes.

The brush fires of terrorism is the cover for an all consuming fire to be launched by the soviets.

WW3 has not begun with 911. 911 is a precursory conflict designed to weaken us for attack. An attack that will fulfill the communist promise to dominate the world.

We as a nation are absolutely blinded by our inabilty to recognize the real source of plague for our nation...Us.

The soviets can only gain control and advantage through our own Godless immoral ways that they inspired us to peruse, as people from all over the world began coming to this country who have adopted socialist communist philosophies or oriental mysticism.

All of which run contrary to what the Lord had in mind for this Promised Land.

Liberalism or conservatism are both two separate parties lying in the same bed of deceit.

The end and new beginning of our nation is only a few years away.

Putin has his plan & God has his. And a majority of Americans won't be around to witness the founding of the Lord's Kingdom.

And that includes the majority of the Lord's covenant people who fall in the category of the average American citizen.
