I don't doubt that its being covered up also, yeah it does make sense that they wouldn't have a huge amount of military vehicles running over there to check it out because they wouldn't want to like they didn't have the situation under control.

Not that I like to dwell on things but one of the big problems with stories like this is the media has a short attention span so there will likely be no further explanation. Thus the Pentagon gets away with feeding us whatever answer they like and we have to accept it.
