Consecration Law

Of corse this is in reference to the law of consecration being communistic.

A better analogy would be that the players would choose to give their fellow players cards they didn't have to build them up until everyone was equal.

I like the law of consecration, but I cant stand socialists.

Anti mormons take a little truth and twist it as much as they can.

Law Of Consecration Studies Doctrine Mormon

Name: Xmormon

Comments: I think Joesph Smith had it in mind to have the members of his church in a commune ultimately. That is what the law of consecration was all about. He tried to do that when he integrated the military, politics and theology in Missouri. These things are to be separate. Joseph blamed the saints for not living up to the standard but the whole problem was that he, Joseph Smith, was lying to the church about his extra relationships and this enraged everyone and led to his death.

Consecration Law

I don't understand what you are saying. Joseph Smith didn't lie to anyone, he did what the Lord commanded him to do and if the Lord set limitations about who he could share the information with, how is that lying? The saints had trouble living this law just like members now days have problems paying tithing! People don't like to sacrifice material possessions because their hearts are set in the things of the world!
