LDS Church Shares

Have you seen the Church share its resources with other faiths and religious cultures? Many a time the Church has shared it's ward buildings with other religious groups so that they could worship in their way. This happens usually when there is an emergency or tradegy.

Yes, I think the Church doesn't take a position of 'we have the truth, all of you (refering to other religion groups) are from the devil'. One of our articles of faith states to allow men to worship in the way or what they want.
Pres. Hinckley has stated so many times also refering to other religions 'Bring some of your truth and we will just add a bit of ours'. Meaning that every religion in this worls has some truth and the Church is making a great progress in the way other people see us. I think is awesome.

CHURCH DONATES WHEELCHAIRS IN GHANA

In partnership with the nonprofit Wheelchair Foundation, the Church
yesterday donated 500 wheelchairs to Ghana's Ministry of Manpower
Development and Employment. Yaw Barimah, minister for the agency,
commended the Church for meeting the spiritual needs of its members
and providing for the physical, social, and emotional needs of others.

CHURCH HELPING FIGHT AIDS IN AFRICA

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a Christian faith with
worldwide membership of about 12 million, is helping educate Church
members and the general public in Africa about how to avoid HIV and
AIDS. The Church's program emphasizes the law of chastity and other
gospel doctrines.

WHEELCHAIR DONATIONS IN KOSOVO

On January 29, 2004, the Wheelchair Foundation and The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints donated 500 wheelchairs to the people of Kosovo
in a ceremony held at the Grand Hotel in Pristina. Kosovo Prime Minister
Bajram Rexhepi hosted the event, in which a number of Kosovar and
international officials participated. The wheelchairs will be distributed
over the next few months without regard to nationality, religion,
ethnicity, or cultural background.

CHURCH ASSISTS EMERGENCY SHELTER

In Midvale, Utah, a gift of $250,000 from The Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter-day Saints will ensure the emergency homeless shelter will stay
open through the worst of the winter weather. "We're confident that this is
going to help us get through the cold," Matthew Minkevitch, executive
director of The Road Home, said after accepting the donation.
