Mormons provide face, voice for new church website
SALT LAKE CITY - You've heard the self-describing labels used by LDS Church members - active, less-active and inactive Mormons. Now, meet the "interactive" Mormons. Church members from across the globe are providing a collective face and online voice for the latest version - 4.0 and counting - of www.mormon.org, the introductory website for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Church has relaunched mormon.org. Now, members are able to create a profile, write their story, put pictures, etc and non-members are able to read those stories and ask questions. On the new launch site, more than 2,000 Church members have listed their profiles and are sharing their life stories and faith. Some 1,300 more are working on creating them.
What do you think about this new approach to missionary work?
