RPG STATS Update

To make it easy on all users, RPG stats are seen only by RPG users rather than everyone. Also, RPG users will now have to look at the profile to see their Body, Mind and Soul stats, this gives more space for posts.

Loophole in Quick Reply Box

I found a loophole where non-RPG users were using the quick reply box to post messages on a board they should not. I corrected that with BHRA's help so that if you are not authorized to post on a certain board you will not see the quick reply box. If you press 'reply' you will get an error message.  This is mainly to prevent over anxious users from joining and then immediately creating their character without first posting 30 messages and requesting RPG status.

Chat room code

In the chat room there is a code box that you can use to get code to do fancy stuff in the chat room. Give it a try, we will be adding lots to it soon.

Strategic Updates!

Due to repreated users joining  this board to spam we have added the following features, updates and text that you should be mindful of...

1. The rules have changed to include a US $20.00 fee for posting to commercial sites. The agreement also requires agreement to this before joining.

2. Some users seem to be lost as to where to post... an off and on focus script has been added to show where this must be done. (Quick Reply Box and Reply)

3. The word 'sensible' has been added to the 15 word requirement so that users understand that just posting random words with no meaning will not do!

4. The chat room now has a longer delay so that users will SEE that the room is only open from 9pm to 11pm EST. An alert box also reminds again before entering the room.

5. Users on the first timers page will get a series of alert boxes reminding them to not link to commercial sites.

Let me clarify one thing... if you link as part of your profile a commercial site, this is fine. The rules are only meant to deter deliberate spammers and not genuine users that have something to share. If you are ever unsure, feel free to contact us first before posting.

Language Board

To give greater highlight to the langage board we have added the word 'Culture' so that different aspects of the culture of each country can also be discussed.

BRAND NEW CHAT!

There is a brand new chat room! It is faster and works on less system resources than before. you will also see that it has many features. To enter the chat you need to request permission from the Administrator. Some of you would have already been given permission via email.

Chat Updates

The chat room is now stable. We have also integrated it with this forum. It will now show the number and names of those online and which room they occupy. Yes there is more than one chat room now

In addition to this when you click 'who is online' you will see the names of forum members using the chat room. This will help you to know those who are logged on

New Tasks for JB@Trinidad

Well folks after many months of long hours in front of the computer screen, codes that went through one ear and came out the other, peppermint oil to be able to stay awake and a few late night marathons I think the forum has come a long way and is more or less complete. I have dominated many of the posts here and did not intend for that to happen, so I am hoping you guys will continue the trend and 'catch-up'. I want to concentrate on other sites we have out there that have been more or less neglected because of this one. So here is what I will limit my time to here:

1. Checking and deleting new members.
2. Verifying content of posts.
3. Making sure someone is in the chatroom at 9:00pm EST
4. Updating this section (Newsletter)
5. Answering posts mostly on the LDS board
6. GMing the RPG games.

So all the other boards will be left up to you guys to update and add new threads. Thanks for all your help in making this community grow. If you have any suggestions about things you would like to see, or found an error then please contact us via the 'contact' link in the menu.
