Bank Transactions Update

With the addition of conversion from forum money to RPG money there has been a lot of activity at the bank. We have put in a few measures necessary for the bank tellers to remain sane...

1. There will be a 20 forum coin fee for each transaction - this will help users to be certain the first time around what they want to buy.

2. Conversion of forum coin to RPG coin will be 4:1

3. Earned money has increased for some items. Some buy items have also increased. We call it inflation.

New Chat Time

To facilitate members that cannot make the current time of 9:00pm EST we have opened the Chat Room at the new time of 8:00pm EST. Msslmshdy30 has offered to moderate during this period.

Stats Changes

Those members who had/have RPG stats are probably wondering where it all went to. What we did is edited the code to show RPG stats when it mattered most, while you are viewing the RPG boards! If you are in the Love & Life Bytes board then you will see those stats, other than that board it serves no purpose so why should you have to see it while viewing International News?

There is a new field added to your profile for various languages you speak. The default is English. You will see this in members' posts while in the Language and welcome boards.

We did not think it was necessary to show how much money you have in posts. Check your profile and the bank for this.

Because of these changes pages will or should load faster and stats will be more meaningful making a visit to each board a whole new experience!

We put our last theme as 'mystical', look for it in your profile if you want to go back to it. Our current theme brings in the beach... with blue (sea) and biege (sand) colors.

CPU Usage

Want to help us to keep this forum going strong? Sometimes the server has to go through a lot of processes and load in order to display the forum and all its 'glory', this can be a strain for the server if members abuse it. At the extreme it may cause the server to shut down. Thus shutting down the forum! Here are some things you can do to help us:

-- Please do not constantly reload the board index (main page) and message index (main page of each board) just to see updates - this is where the greatest strain is placed

-- Please do not reload these pages constantly either; who is online, and recent posts

No, we are not saying not to use the forum or do not look at the boards, we are just asking that you be mindful of constantly reloading the indexes over and over, this especially for those on DSL and Cable connections where reloading may just take one second. As the forum gets bigger and more intense everyone wants to participate and post message, this tip will help to ensure that you have continued services here.

Moderators/Posters Point System

There is a new point system that allows moderators the ability to minus points from users that do not obey the rules. A user starts out with full points, but if that user's point level drops to a negative number then the user can no longer post. In effect this allows the moderators to stop members from posting on the forum.

In addition to this moderators can also add to the 'record' of the poster the reason for the point addition or subtraction. Now we know this may seem embarrassing, but it is not, it will be private, only the poster, moderator and admin will be able to see the reasons given.

Important Updates

1. We have new members who are insistant on posting links when they join. They say they are not spammers, but yet still everytime they post a message it is always about an external site? They think they are fooling us, but they are not. We have added to the rules that is safer to post no links on this site.

2. Some people think it is not a good idea to use the word 'lazy' with a thumb down for users who do nopt post much, okay, agreed, we changed it to 'quiet poster' with a smiley behind a curtain
