Spell Checker
Well we are improving passed our last board and basically everything is restored. Our latest achievement is to have a spell checker. Please check the FAQ for details. Soon we hope to have icons on threads as we did before.
Special Member Posting
Now you can see who is the member of the day, week, month and year! Check the bottom of the board index. This is rated based on number of topics started, no. of replies and views.
Unfortunately I lead, but I do hope others can change that
New Stuff!
Now you can add your own vehicle to the Forum Garage! If you are one of those car or bike lovers then you can tell us all about it!
Page is loading...
One of the things people dread most is a blank screen, at least now they get a message saying that the page is in fact loading so they know something is going on.
New User Group!
There is a new user group called, 'Initiated'. Basically when a user joins the forum they will be placed into a group called, 'Members' as before, but the group Members can only post 5 posts within a 24 period. When the 24 hours is over they can post again. When they reach 6 posts the forum will automatically promote them to the rank of 'Initiated' and they will then have more freedom to post.
The reason for this is new users join and start to place flippant messages indiscreetly all over the forum instead of reading and learning how to use the forum. This will curb that. Members in general will not be able to start many new topics since most of the time the topics they start already exist and they do not take the time to search.
Yes, we are about quality here rather than quantity, we are not anxious for numerous posts without substance.
Moved!
Certain boards were moved into or under certain other boards as they were not active enough to be shown on the board index which is too big. Your posts are still in place. To help you find where everything is please just go to the link in the top menu called, 'Site Map'. We also added a general search link with the obvious name, 'Search'.
Double Posters
Double posting can be quite irritating (when a users posts one message after the other when they could have used one message to say all that needed to be said). So to prevent this certain member groups will be unable to post twice in a row.
TIP: Say all that you want to say in ONE message, if you quote those that you are responding to then it can be done in one message.
