NEWEST FIXES & UPDATES

1. There was a problem with the forgot password feature that confused users. When they used this feature and selected to send password by email what they were getting was an encrypted password! When you use the forget password you will be issued a NEW passowrd now.

2. Removed the forgot password by email feature - you will have to now enter your username and then the secret question.

3. Automatic notification if you achieve a new rank of membership.

4. Ever wanted to know how to reply to a message? now you can easily click on 'reply'on any message post rather than have to quote or scroll to the top or bottom!

NEW INSTANT MESSAGES

Now there are new features with your instant messages:

1. There are set limits now on how many IM you can send other members, and store. This will prevent spamming as well as protect users from those who join to just 'bother' them with this feature.

2. You can now be notified instantly when you have new messages in your inbox via a popup, BUT you must enable it under 'Instant Messages Preferences' in your profile.

3. You will notice that instead of seeing the typical 'Good Morning, xxxxxx, you have 1 new message' you will now see 'Good Morning, xxxxxx, you have 3 messages, 2 are new.

4. In the instant message page itself you will be able to delete all messages at once, see your usage and many other features to make your stay here enjoyable!

Why would you want to keep more? IM is just for sending quick messages to individual users for a specific purpose. Its not meant to replace email Besides, everytime we backup the board we have to backup hundreds of IMs sent from one user to another. This is not realistic and it will force everyone to delete unecessary messages.

Soon to COME! Minimum number of words!

Thanks to Spike for creating this mod for us. Now you have to post senseful messages instead of one worders! The minimum number of words to post has to be at least 15 and smiles count as 1 word. By the way, it detects if you try to overdo it with the smileys to make up words *hehe*.
Those who try to post messages with only four words will get something like:

4 words - The amount of Words in your message is not considered to be a usefull contribution to this thread. You must post at least 15 words and smileys count as one word!

NEW SERVER!

Yes, we know about all the times you tried to access the board and got a message from your browser saying, "Cannot find Server". If you think it made you mad - it made us want to explode!

We finally moved to what we feel is a better server (cross fingers), but as you know moving causes 'little errors' to pop-up as we get everything settled back in. Please let us know all the errors you experience.

One thing for sure... never access this site via the URL with a .cgi extension because these URLs always change. ALWAYS use: https://www.bordeglobal.com/forum
