AnbuElf Introduction

Hello, I'm AnbuElf, but you can just call me Anbu. In case you're wondering how I came up with the name, I love anime as well as medieval fantasy. An anbu is a ninja rank and the Elf is my favorite race.

I'm 18, a house wife, and a pregnant high school drop-out. I dropped out of high school because my fiancee (at the time) lived a state away, and he was about to be sent over seas. I wanted to spend the last few months with him, and got married before his scheduled deployment. Due to physical and mental issues however, my husband was found to not be eligible for deployment.

I do plan to go back to school, and college. My major will be in creative writing, which is why I'm here. I've been into role-playing for 3-4 years, and it is definitely improving my writing skills. When I graduate from college, I plan to become an author, but school will have to wait until after my daughter is born.

I wanted to join this site to entertain myself, to have fun, and because I enjoy Dungeons and Dragons, although I am new to it. I am currently in a campaign with some of my friends that takes place almost every weekend and I have had a lot of fun. I don't understand everything in Dungeons and Dragons, but I think I know enough to join here and of course I'll get better along the way.

Anyway, I just want to say, hi everybody! I'm sure I'll enjoy myself here, once I figure out how to get around the sight.

Hello, there, welcome, neighbor. Plenty of different RPGs to choose from here, from the user-run PbP's in the Member Wars sections, to the official site RPGs. Even if it isn't your usual style, think about trying it, because they are big on people reading FAQs around here. I will go ahead and link to the one I wrote specifically for KNToran's D&D game in the Member Wars section and the admin was kind enough to sticky. D&D Newcomer F.A.Q. Yup, I read that before I joined. It seems a little complicated, but I think I'll get the handle of it before too long, or at least I hope so. If I get confused or lost I will definitely return to that especially when I start to make my character. First, I wanna make sure I thoroughly understand the rest of the rules. The campaign I mentioned is version 3.5, so that's what I'm familiar with.

Welcome to the site AnbuElf! That was a pretty good introduction. There are a lot of different RPGs here so don't feel limited to just D&D. Yeah, I made sure to read all of the rules before joining. Now that I have joined, I took the time to figure out my new surroundings and taking a look at other people's characters before I jumped in. This site seems pretty interesting so far, and I hope to keep my participation up at least 75% and get those 30 consecutive posts so that I can move more freely.

It also took me awhile to figure out how to make a character, and I was starting to get frustrated. I remained determined and managed though. Now, I just have to wait to be approved!

I'm very excited to be here, and thank you everyone for the welcome and the help. So far, I think I understand it. If I do get a little lost or confused, I'll let you know. Thanks again!

Don't worry you'll get the hang of everything. Everyone is very helpful here and no one gets mad or flames you. Once you keep away from writing like you're text messaging you will be fine . Kntoran is the DM of the main D&D game going on so he'll probably approve that later tonight or tomorrow I think.
