:new Most of you may be 'new' to RPG on a forum like this. How do you like it?
I must say thanks to those who prepared, met the requirements and started the first scenario even though it is their first time they are doing well so far.
I've done this on other forums and I like it a lot because it fires your literary skills.
It's better than PC gaming because it is interactive. This really develops your character in a way clicking on the mouse cannot.
As a former D & D player and DM, I am very prejudiced towards methods that allow you to really roleplay.
In the other forums I played on I was very pleased with character development.
As JB can testify, I will play a pacifist, anti-war protestor.
OK
I've been watching for a day or so now, and think I understand how things work.
A couple of questions.
It seems that JD does all the work here.
The players mull things over in camp, then JD inputs into his program and writes the entire scene.
Bad news, if you're JD.
Have you considered letting JD (or whoever is GM at the time) lay out the scene and play the NPCs, then let the players write their own parts?
Short snippets, back and forth duels, etc.
It can make for some very creative dialogue and brings out the writer in all the players. And relieves JD of a whole lot of work.
Just a thought.
