Are Anabolic Steroids addictive the way cocaine is addictive?

I think steroids can be addictive in the same way as cocaine. I'll explain how steroids are habit forming. The user starts a regimen of steroids hoping to reach some kind of fitness goal usually. Steroids mess with their hormones while possibly helping the person to reach their desired fitness goal. The drugs are damaging to the body, but if the person stops using steroids they will face withdrawals. Along with the withdrawals, the user's hormones will be out of control. Cocaine and other drugs effect users similarly by effecting the level of brain signals and chemicals in the brain. When you try to quit anything that is habit forming or that effects levels of chemicals in the body, your body will be confused and will react in an addicting way. You will think that you need the drug just to get through the day. On top of the addiction's physical and mental effects, the user might be addicted to the results they got. They might just miss the size their muscles reached or how much stronger they felt.
Yes steroids can be addictive when people start seeing results, some steroids can have harmful side effects but some can actually be harmless if administrated properly. There is lots to study about steroids such as which ones to take and how to cycle on and off in a regular regiment so your body is not at harm. More importantly steroids are illegal, but if you still choose to use them than please do yourself a favor and do your homework first.
