Upon the idea of the stranger, Keep your sword ready to be unseathed and ready for war. Answer with extrem caution. Notice anything abnormal about him. Rember looks can be decieving. If he continues to speak after we answer then we will talk to him and find out vital information. Inquire about the woods, if there has been any increased activity to speak of. Ask if there has been any other things that have been happening as of late.
If we get five horses it will be difficult nearer impossible to get away without getting caught. I theif is cofident about his trade but knows overconfidence will be suicide. We do not wish to cause bloodshed if we can help it.
Another thing we could get the five horses but we would need everyone close to the village. This would make it possible to get as far away as possible. We would have to avoid the village for awhile. Therefore we would have to find springs of water to get fresh water and also we would have to hunt and fish along the way so to keep up our strength. Just some thoughts
If anybody needs help to get more horses, Zenobia can help. She's very strong. IF you all think there is a need for it. I do think we need to move as fast as we can but being careful on what we are doing. We cannot mess the things up.
All right. Â Now that he is gone we get everything else in order.
We are in agreeance that we will be getting the horses tonight and looking around the town during the day to make out our route, Right?
Now we can split up and check out the village. Â Your best bet is to stay near the homes, it isn't likely that any of the govrenment building and such will be holding any horses. Â Let us all meet back here this evening at sundown and report what you have seen and then we will plan further. Â We cannot make a plan when there is nothing to go on. Â Don't make yourselves obvious. Â If there is an opportunity to trade do so while we are still in the village. Â Be casual.
Now let's split up. Â Lady Moab you go with Fion and Lupus and check out the southside of the village. Â Zenobia and I will check out the east side. Remember to take a good look at your surroundings so that you know where you are going tonight.
I would ask that Zenobia and Lady come and help but three is enough and too many helpers might be more trouble than help. No offense meant.
But you can help us by keeping an eye out for anything strange going on.Â
Ready?
Ready.
A couple of things to look for.
Locate where the horses are. Locate any possible problem to access- like dogs that may bark
No Stallions! Mares and geldings only.
Note if the horses have tack handy.
Also, if you see feed bags (nose bags) let me know about them also.
Lady Moab, I'm ready when you are.
OK.
We head out, the Lady and I.
Obviously we don't know what we see until the GM tells us.
Walking casually, looking for the obvious; a corral, pen or stable that will mark quarters for a horse.
Any horses spotted will be given a critical look by Fion, judging their general conformation, flank, withers, breadth of chest, signs of potential weakness or strengths.
Also keeps an eye out for feed bags, sacks of grain, oats, etc.
Although he hasn't said anything, Fion intends to get 6 horses if possible, using one as a pack animal.
The feed bags and possible grain will make feeding the animals more efficient, secure and keep them in a better mood.
With that in mind he has an eye peeled for a good, large draft or plow horse.
