An assassin with morals, !!!!!

O.K., I wouldn't kill kids either, but old people, I would have no problem with that. Do you require a reason for the assassination or is it good enough that you are being paid?

My terms are: Maybe we need to scope the place out first, or at least get some details about where specifically and what time of day to do this before we commit. What if we are agreeing to do something that is impossible to do without being caught.

I think we need to find out how he envisions it happening - where and when, then we should visit the site and decide if we think it is safely doable. He doesn't need to give us details that would require us to then do it or we become a risk to him, but we need to be sure it is feasable. I mean, after all, most assassins are given an assignment regarding who to kill, but how and where is generally left up to them. I want to be sure we aren't setting ourselves up for instant failure. This guy has nothing to lose, but we have a lot at risk. This guy doesn't care if we get caught as long as this person is killed, but I certainly do care about being caught.

Then, if we agree to do it, I think we need to get half the money now and the other half when the job is done.

I agree with you, we need more details of when and where this will take place, I want to research the place first and also we need to find out who is the person that he wants to kill, if the person is from another world, I forsee trouble but I'm up to the challenge.

O.K. So, I don't think so! How do we know he will ever pay us anything. We are new to him, but he is also new to us. He should be able to easily check references on us. Heck, he probably already knows our references. I need some kind of assurance that he has the money and that I will receive it. Not my nature to trust anyone when it comes to this sort of thing. He is going to have to offer some kind of assurance that this is not a set up and that we will get paid when the job is done. Also, somehow we need to be able to logically determine that what he wants done is doable without being caught. Maybe it is just me, but I don't like to be told "trust me, I'm good for it" when my life is on the line.

As far as his being indignant about us coming to him and now wanting to list terms, I don't see a bunch of assassins waiting in line to help him, do you?

I didn't see where you specified 10,000 units each?

Actually I did ask him that in Squad Order: "We need to analyze all these factors, you don't care for us to be caught, but we do care because we are professionals, this is our job, we don't want to end up in the 'shadows' all our lives. Also the 10,000 credits you offered is in total or for each one of us?."

But he didn't exactly answered it which means that what he offers in my opinion is 10,000 credits TOTAL.

You're right! I don't like his tone, he is too cocky and he doesn't answer any questions...okay...you're the brains in here, what specific question or statement you wanna say to him?. You know, I'm all muscles and fight and I'm not very diplomatic. I trust your instincts in this one. Tell me what you wanna say to him.

"Listen, if we are going to work together, you are going to have to trust us and we need to feel like we can trust you. We want to help, but we aren't willing to take on a job unless we have some kind of assurance it is possible to do it successfully without being caught. If you are unsure of us, you can easily check up on us to find out if what we claim to be able to accomplish is true and you will find we never fail when we accept a job. It is apparent to me that you know a lot about us already so, I don't think it would be difficult for you to check up on us, if you haven't already.

Now, how are we to know you can be trusted? How do we know you won't set us up so that we get caught after we finish our assignment so you won't have to pay us anything? Surely you don't think we would take a job like this without some kind of assurance that it can be done successfully without our being caught and without some kind of assurance that we will be paid.?

While on that topic, I am assuming you mean 10,000 units each for this job. Certainly, if we must agree to accept this job without first knowing where we must carry it out, that is a huge risk for which we should be amply compensated so, if you insist we don't know anything in advance, then it must be 10,000 units each. Agreed?"

Yeah, I am not real fond of the guy. He should realize that paid killers are not easily pushed around. But, we need to be careful too or we could end up dead! Although, with only two players, I think we have an advantage until and unless more join the game

Bloody, I am not sure I am going to agree. I don't like the way he is treating us. Thing is, where does the game go if we walk away?
