[Future Earth] Technology Types

Technology Types

Future Earth has a basic rating system:

A - primative - cave man era
B - stone age
C - iron age
D - 1800s - western
E - 1900s - basic tech beginnings
F - 2000 - now
G - Inter-planetary travel
H - Inter-galactic travel - light speed
I - PSI powers and unknown technology

If the GM refers to a planet or person as being class D then you will know that the planet is up to a technology of the Early Western Era (Cowboys and Indians) or the person's is only familiar with technology up to that period.

The Game Master says...

Weapons

There are various kinds of weapons; archaic, slug, laser and alien.

ARCHAIC - refers to swords, axes, bow and arrow, etc. There are modern versions of these weapons where certain materials are used, but they are still refered to as archaic.

SLUG - Guns that fire metal bullets are called, 'slug throwers'. This also refers to pistols, rifels and machine guns that use slugs.

LASER - a laser may have the same look of a pistol or rifle, but it fires high amounts of energy rather than metal.

ALIEN - weapons that have an unknown or 'unseen' use, but can cost damage to the body are called, 'alien weapons'.
