You are brought back to the court room and seated. The judge strolls in after 5 minutes rubbing his stomach, 'a good meal maybe' you think to yourself. The judge starts up...
"Okay, where were we? Right, four villans of our community want to go free... (he turns to the prosecution) what other evidence do you have?"
Prosecution: "Your honor, according to the report these four have been linked to under handed trading, meeting out at night in a secluded area, damaged cars, drugs, weapons and money all found. The fourth person was somehow drugged, possibly from using psychiatric medicine on himself rather than his patients. Upon his arrest he could hardly speak. It was fortunate that the same cops were able to pull him of the road before he could hurt someone."
Judge: "Bring in those cops again" (cops are brought in) "Okay, lets see if these here peoples can prove against the evidence and the word of these good and faithful cops that they were not there doing these things". The judge points for the tough cop to take a seat on the stand.
You are allowed to ask 1 and only 1 specific question each to the cop, he will then answer the question given.
Lemina thinks for a moment while she looks at the officer sitting on the stand and then she stands up. Lemina begins to stare a hole through the officer while she speaks, 'Ok, officer. Let me get this straight. You claim to have found drugs, guns, and money while we were having this alleged meeting on a secluded road. Let us keep in mind, that our cellphones were too far out of range for us to be on the line long enough to give out our location. We found this out, while trying to talk to the 911 operator. We were trying to report Sugarplum's accident. But the static was very bad and the connection was bad too. So, if the road was so secluded, what brought you and your partner out to the area to begin with?'
The tough cop adjusts himself in his seat and says quite cool and collectively, "We were patroling the area, you can check our sarge, all that wooded area is part of our route."
Joshua rises and says "Objection your honor, your statement 'four villans of our community want to go free' obviously attests that you do not believe we are innocent until proven guilty as you are required by the law to do. Futhermore your Statement 'word of these good and faithful cops' is biased in favor of the officers and is personal opinion not proven fact. As such I consider your judgment biased and pejudiced and herby move that your comments be stricken from the record, and an immediate change of venue be pursued. As is my right I seek a higher court. I also at this time object to the statement of the prosocution's statement that 'The fourth person was somehow drugged' this is cot only a lie but conjecture on the part of the prosecutor, the further statement by the prosecution 'possibly from using psychiatric medicine on himself rather than his patients' is also pure conjecture. As I am clearly the only qualified "expert" in the field of psychiatric medicine in the court I attest that even if I had taken large quantities of the drug it could not produce the effects that the prosecution attests. The most common side effects are dry mouth and sexual disfunction, in the rarest of occasions it can cause increased blood pressure and heart rate in about 0.4% of persons taking the medication - clasically these are females aged 60 and over who unknowingly suffer from hypertension. Before the FDA approved the drug it was found that side effects from the drug occur in 18% of users whereas those on placebo showed side effects in 11%, this is a remarkable margin, as I am sure my collegue sugarplum can attest. The Prosecution also attests 'It was fortunate that the same cops were able to pull him of the road before he could hurt someone' I for one would like to know how it is possible that I was 'pulled off the road' when I was arrested in my Lab. and secondly since I am here on a research grant I have yet to obtain trasportation other than taxi, how was I pulled off the road? I assert that the charges are false and that the 'evidence' speaks against itself in it's controdictory nature." Joshua then calmy turns to the officer on the stand and asks "How do you pull a person who is working in a lab when you arrest him 'off the road' especially since he does not have a vehicle with him?"
Sugarplum looks straight into the eyes of the cops and then says....'You all used their flashlights when you approached us and take us as prisoers...How in the world then in a wooden area and so late at night you all could see we were making some 'kind of exchange'?
The tough cop sits in amazement while listending to Joshua and all the words you are giving to him, but at the same time he is not interested in any statistics and focuses on your question, "You were found near the same area as the other three. You were parked in your car on the side of the road, you have several thousand dollars in cash. We approached your car cautiously, you seemed non respondenat and we had to take you down town, its not my fault if you take drugs" The tough cop then shrugs his shoulders and smiles at the judge. The judge rolls his eyes.
Then listening to Sugarplum the cop replies, "After the doc, we continued our route up the road an found all your cars in an akward postion, so we sat in wait, but then when all the commotion started with you slamming in the tree we decided to approach to see what was going on. It was only after we searched your cars did we find the illegal stuff."
GM: The last to ask a question is Ash, if the others try to speak before him they will be removed from the court room.
Ash stands up and and approches the stand and looks at the officer" ok sir do remember that you are under oath got it,and that pergery is against the law oh wait a minute you dont know what that means I forgot. So anyhow you claim that you found all those illegal items in our car right? come on answer the question.. I would also like to know how much you weigh? So fat boy are you going to answer me? You know before you serched our rides you both went to the trunk of your patrol car so how do we know that you didnt sneek the stuff from your trunk to our cars? Another thing is that this fellow here I have never met him a day in my life so how did he get involved in it??"
The Judge tells Ash to sit down as he is in contempt of court. The judge then says, "Right, I have heard enough, these four here are guilty as charged and will serve 5 year sentences each with no option for parole." The judge then hits his hammer on the wooden palette, rises from his chair and leaves. The guards begin to escort you into the waiting trucks that will take you to prison. While in the truck you have your last chance maybe to see each other.
