Jacksonville Non-profit Head To Again Lead Florida Council On Homelessness.

From Beth Cravey's BlogShannon Nazworth, Executive Director of Ability Housing of Northeast Florida, has been re-elected as the chair of the Florida Council on Homelessness.The council was created in 2001 to develop policies and make recommendations to reduce homelessness in the state. As of January 2013, there were 45,364 homeless people in Florida including 2,594 in Jacksonville, according to a news release.Nazworth's previous term as chair began in 2011.0

The list has Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan (No. 122) and Miami Dolphins owner Steven Ross (No. 87) worth $3.8 and $4.8 billion. To put that in context, their combined net worth is 32 percent of the $26.8 billion in general revenue lawmakers used to build this year's state budget.The overall budget is $74 billion, but general revenue represents that amount of money lawmakers have the greatest control over.Why is this important?0
