Come On You Are New Say Something Worthwhile

New Members sometimes Post the lamest excuse for an Introduction. Really most times you can see they have read nothing on the Registration pages, they are just too immature to come up with a good enough message about themselves or they are just spammers plain and simple. To help us ascertain more quickly if a New Member needs deletion they will be required to post significant text the first time. It also shows us if someone is mature enough to be here, because I have noticed that proper introductions and teeny boppers do not agree. Therefore if they give up trying to post one line sentences then the script will delete them later anyway for not posting their Introduction. Saves our bots and moderators from having to edit / welcome someone who should not be here in the first place. Sounds harsh but after thousands of spammers and teeny boppers trying to get on this site it becomes tiresome.

Come On Now, Do Vote Member Of The Year:
Please take the time to vote now: Source 3
There has to be at least ONE person that has stood out for you in the entire year you have participated.

Oliron gave his acceptance speech for the Architect's Award 2010, this is what he said from his Intro Post:

international QUOTE (Oliron)
This is really great! It means a lot to me to receive this Award.

When I first introduced myself to this community I was lost. I had no idea what I was doing. I was angry a lot about not being able to express myself to people. Not being able to get my point across.

I didn't have a job and was struggling with many things. I remember walking down the sidewalk during the winter and thinking of this site to calm me down. Going over in my head different topics that were being discussed and plotting my responses. I expected to find great resistance to what I said. Instead I found people with open ears and insightful opinions of their own.

I did join for the RPG factor but quickly was pulled into the discussions.

At this community I was able to find my voice in a way. I felt as if there was accountability to what was being said. That accountability filtered a lot of the negative things I would add into my conversations and allowed me to focus on the content in an intellectual way, instead of a "I must win this argument" way.
It's the people of this community that allowed me to discover that in myself.

I still get the urge to need to have the final word but I'm working on that.

It may sound over the top but this community has changed who I am as a human being. It is a collection of people discussing topics but to me it is more. It is a place for me to grow and learn in a way I can't seem to find anywhere else.

I really appreciate this honor and hope to have many more years here, thank you.

PS: Oh, and it's really helped me with my spelling.
